BEEF is updating the landmark national stocker survey.

  • Among pure stocker operators who endemic/managed some cattle with value-added intent, 62.2% required source verification; 51.4% required age verification; 37.viii% required genetic verification. Only 19.one% required verification via a Quality Arrangement Cess (QSA) or Processed Verified Programme (PVP).
  • Amid pure stocker respondents, 43.ane% said their typical pull rate due to bovine respiratory disease (BRD) within the offset month was less than 5%; 12.3% said it was more than than 20%.
